With its Green Opera programme, La Monnaie is committed to reducing its ecological footprint as much as possible. However, we cannot do this alone, as our carbon emission calculations show that the displacement of our audience also has a non-negligible CO2 impact. With the following initiatives, we hope to convince a growing number of spectators to opt for a form of soft mobility when making their way to our venues. Pass by at our mobility desk in the Entrance Hall and we inform you on all these actions and how you can profit from them.

Before the opera or during the interval, drop by the mobility desk in the Entrance hall, let us know which group you wish to join, and afterwards meet your buddies there at the signposted meeting point!
Brussels Central Station (10 min on foot)
With a BRAVO! ticket, you can travel by train to any La Monnaie performance at half price!
Carpooling to La Monnaie with other opera lovers? Besides being more sustainable, it’s nicer and cheaper than going alone! La Monnaie is the first cultural venue in Belgium to join forces with Slinger, a simple tool which allows you to arrange a ride with another spectator from your area in just a few clicks. On the right of this page, you can already easily offer a ride or reserve a seat for the upcoming opera performances. As a reward, on presentation of your Slinger confirmation email, you will receive a free parking ticket valid in the Ecuyer, Brucity or Grand Place Interparking car parks (worth €6).
Do you live in the Brussels-Capital Region? Thanks to Collecto, you can share a taxi home with other spectators after 11 pm for only €6. Good for your wallet and even better for the environment! The newest Collecto boarding point (Nr. 321) is situated in the rue Léopold, just behind the theatre. Drop by the mobility desk in the entrance hall before the performance or during the interval, and not only will our staff inform you on how to easily make a reservation with the app, you can also get an extra discount code from them until the end of 2024.
Before each performance in the Main Auditorium or during the interval, you can order a taxi for your return trip at the mobility desk in the Entrance Hall. The pick-up point is in the rue de la Reine / Koninginnestraat right next to La Monnaie. The offer includes a normal taxi (for up to 4 people), a business model (more comfortable and spacious, for up to 3 people), a van (for groups of up to 7) or a taxi for passengers with reduced mobility (up to 2 people).
Due to construction works near the Place de La Monnaie, parking tickets and the P-card can only be validated for the Ecuyer, Brucity and Grand Place car parks. Click on the name of the car park to take advantage of the preferential rate (€6) via a simple online reservation. This preferential rate is valid from Monday to Saturday (from 4.31 pm to 1 am) and on Sundays and public holidays (all day), but no longer applies to Parking La Monnaie for the time being, even though the car park is sometimes still accessible during the works.
Switch from your car or bike to public transport thanks to Brussel's Park & Ride (P+R) car parks.
