Damiano Michieletto’s staging of Cavalleria rusticana & Pagliacci draws much of its inspiration from Italian neo-realist cinema of the 1950s. If you would like to find out more about the connections between the two operas and the world of cinema, we invite you to come along to an exclusive encounter with the dramaturge (literary advisor) and professor Timothée Picard on Sunday 4 March 2018 at 11 am. The encounter will be moderated by Camille De Rijck.
Timothée Picard is a dramaturge (literary advisor) and a professor of general and comparative literature at the Université Rennes 2. A co-founder of the Transversales Festival, he has written extensively about opera and cinema.
