Inside the Music is a series of musical lectures where you will learn all about the operas on our programme.

For our ambitious two-part production Bastarda, we are inviting the conductor Francesco Lanzillotta, who has also written new musical arragements for the selected highlights of Donizetti's Tudor operas. In what way did he use the musical links between these works? How did he bring them together in a new dramatic structure, while presevering the authentic Donizetti aesthetics? In the comfort of our Grand Foyer, let Francesco Lanzillotta reveal to you all the secrets of the score, during an accessible analysis, enriched with musical extracts played live on the piano. This encounter will be followed by a convivial reception.
