Now that’s something you can learn from— Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
He may have been talking about the music of Bach, but any musician will tell you that there are many lessons to be drawn from Mozart himself as well. During two master classes on Saturday 14 March, Music Director Alain Altinoglu guides young singers from our MM Academy and the enoa-network in their interpretation of the iconic arias from the Da Ponte operas and other canonical works by Rossini, Verdi and Gluck. Not with the usual piano accompaniment, but leading the La Monnaie Symphony Orchestra. Now that's something every opera lover can learn from, so we have exceptionally decided to open these master classes to the public. Even better: if you have a ticket for one of the Trilogia productions, you get to glimpse into the working process of conductor and singer free of charge!
