For three weeks, our Concertini will resound at La Monnaie again. Since our musicians still have to perform without an audience for now, these unique chamber music performances, renamed Concert-E-ni, can be viewed on our website at the usual time: friday at 12:30. You will be able to rewatch these concerts as much as you like for one week.
Now that our musicians can burst out of their quarantine-bubble, and are newly allowed to rehearse (carefully) together, we are once again able to organise our Concertini. Even though the doors of La Monnaie have to remain closed a little while longer, chamber music aficionados can indulge in three performances, streamed on our website at the usual time, friday at 12:30. At the same time, these performances will ring across the Place de la Monnaie. And not to worry if you miss our appointment, the recordings will remain available on lamonnaie.be for one week.
The programming of these three Concert-E-ni is as diverse as it gets. Despite the postponement of our production of Pikovaya Dama you will nevertheless be able to hear some Tchaikovsky in his string sextet Souvenir de Florence. Soprano Margaux de Valensart and tenor Maxime Melnik, both members of our MM Academy, perform a vocal programme where the animal world is the recurring theme. And the Trio B-Dur für Klavier, Klarinette und Violoncello (op.11) is a silent nod to the current Beethoven-year.

To be able to once more perform music in our theatre, after weeks of silence, feels very special to us. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.
From March 28 to 30, the tenth edition of the Passa Porta Festival will take place, dedicated entirely to the theme of ‘Ghosts’. This year, numerous events will also be held at La Monnaie, ranging from encounters with leading authors to literary tours.
